Homepay
Italy
Homepay is an Italian proptech-fintech startup building payment infrastructure for residential real estate. Its first product digitizes security deposits and escrow-like flows among buyers, sellers, agents and notaries, replacing cheques and manual transfers; over time, it aims to become a broader “checkout” layer for property transactions. The business is still pre-launch. By March 2026 it had secured ACPR approval via Treezor, was in the final Banca d’Italia passporting step, had signed a national RE/MAX Italy partnership, and was preparing private beta.
Status: Seed (on going)
Sunlit Investment: Pre Seed
Key Co-Investors: Vento Ventures, B-Heroes, Vesper Holdings, angels.
2026 Outlook:
Homepay’s main focus for 2026 is converting regulatory clearance into an Italian launch, onboard the beta pipeline, and turn broker/network partnerships into recurring payment volume. Product expansion should move from deposit management toward a full transaction stack, adding fee splits, foreign-funds acceptance and AML/KYC. If early adoption holds, Homepay can then use Italy as a beachhead for Spain and broader Southern Europe, evolving from a deposit tool into category-defining real-estate payments infrastructure.
